Agricultural and construction equipment maker CNH Industrial NV agreed to acquire farm management information systems platform AgDNA.
The acquisition is part of U.K.-based CNH Industrial's strategy to enhance its precision farming offering and deliver increasing digitalization in agriculture.
The deal will empower farmers and agribusinesses to consolidate agronomic data streams, including crop prices and weather information, into a single platform, to speed up the decision-making process.
The deal with Australia-based AgDNA, which provides single-point data integration, mapping and analytical tools, complements CNH Industrial's precision farming software solutions partnerships.
The farm management information systems platform will be commercialized in the fourth quarter, initially in North America.
