Subsea 7 tapped to provide pipeline support for offshore Egypt project

Burullus Gas Company awarded oilfield services company Subsea 7 SA an engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning contract valued between $50 million and $150 million for a project offshore Egypt.

Subsea 7 will connect six new wells into existing subsea facilities at the West Delta Deep Marine Phase 9b development project using umbilicals and flexible flowlines, the company said in a June 13 press release.

Project management and engineering work has already commenced at Subsea 7's offices in Cairo, Egypt, and Paris, France. Fabrication of the subsea structures and spools will be carried out at Petrojet's yard near Alexandria, Egypt. Offshore work is scheduled to commence in the second half of 2019.
