Foresight Group closes acquisition of 50-MW wind portfolio in Germany

Foresight Group LLP has completed the acquisition of a 50-MW wind portfolio in Germany from a wpd AG subsidiary.

The portfolio, acquired in partnership with Korea Investment & Securities, consists of the 45-MW Krackow and 5-MW Seubersdorf wind farms, according to a Jan. 8 release.

Wpd windmanager provides operational management services to both wind farms, which receive 20-year fixed revenues under the German Renewable Energy Act.

The Krackow wind project came online in the fourth quarter of 2015 and the Seubersdorf facility began commercial operations in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Foresight said it has expanded its European wind portfolio to more than 150 MW acquired in the past nine months.
