Japan's Fair Trade Commission concluded an investigation into Rakuten Travel Inc., a travel booking arm of e-commerce company Rakuten Inc., for engaging in unfair business practices, according to an Oct. 25 release.
The investigation confirmed that the company did not breach the law. This comes after Rakuten Travel submitted a commitment plan, which enables such matters to be voluntarily resolved. The plan was certified by the watchdog.
The commission launched the investigation into the travel booking company in April over allegations that it violated antitrust laws.
