NVIDIA Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Oct. 25 was 30 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 35 cents per share.
EPS rose 26.6% year over year from 23 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $167.5 million, a gain of 28.2% from $130.6 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 12.1% from 10.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 6.5% year over year to $1.30 billion from $1.23 billion, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to $1.04 billion from $1.01 billion.
Reported net income grew 43.7% on an annual basis to $248.6 million, or 44 cents per share, from $173.0 million, or 31 cents per share.
