Daimler CEO says open to alliance, partial listing of mobility services

Mercedes car maker Daimler AG CEO Dieter Zetsche said he is open to considering a partial listing of the company's mobility services operations, Reuters reported. Speaking to analysts, he also said the company would consider combining the company's mobility services, Car2Go, with that of a rival.

BMW and Daimler, which makes cars and trucks, are in negotiations for a broader car-sharing and driverless taxi alliance, a source told Reuters last week.

Daimler CFO Bodo Uebber said that the German automotive manufacturer is seeking to expand its mobility services which include the Moovel, MyTaxi and Car2Go business, for which shareholders funds may be needed. "We do not exclude that we go for external funding," Uebber said.
