Israel-based Bank Hapoalim names CEO of US unit

Israel-based Bank Hapoalim BM named Gabriel Hamani CEO of unit BHI USA, the American Banker reported Dec. 18.

Hamani joined the bank in 1991, and was named manager of the bank's branches in the U.S. in 2014, according to the report.

Hamani replaces Yair Talmor, who has been named chairman of BHI USA Advisory Group. Talmor will remain chairman and CEO of BHI USA Holdings and chairman of the credit committee, the report added.

Aside from its New York headquarters, BHI operates an office in New Jersey, an office in Florida, and two offices in California.
