Data center company Equinix Inc. plans to build an international business exchange data center in Seoul, scheduled to open in the third quarter.
The SL1 data center will provide more than 18,000 square feet of colocation space and have an initial capacity of 550 cabinets in the first phase. It will be located at Sangam near Seoul's central business district.
The launch, which will mark Equinix's entry into South Korea, comes as part of the company's ongoing expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.
