IPL closes acquisition of 99-MW Iowa wind facility

Interstate Power & Light Co. has completed its acquisition of the 99-MW Franklin County wind facility in Iowa from a corporate affiliate, Heartland Energy Group Inc.

Interstate Power, a regulated utility subsidiary of Alliant Energy Corp., acquired the facility at net book value with no acquisition adjustment, though the amount was not disclosed. Heartland Energy is a nonutility subsidiary of Alliant Energy Resources Inc., which houses all of Alliant's nonregulated businesses.

The parties consummated the transaction April 1, according to an April 7 FERC filing. (FERC docket EC17-40)
