ECR Minerals to restart development at Argentina gold project

ECR Minerals Plc on Jan. 27 said it has decided to restart on-the-ground activities to advance the SLM gold project in Argentina.

The company's wholly owned Argentine subsidiary, Ochre Mining SA, holds 100% interest in the project, which comprises the El Abra, JV zone and Maestro Agüero prospects.

The company plans to undertake a 2,000-meter program at the JV zone, with an aim to establish a JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate.

An additional 300 meters of drilling is planned for the El Abra prospect to test the high-grade mineralization intersected at about 100 meters depth in 2012.

The company intends to complete the program later this year, with an objective to estimate the mineral resources for both prospects.
