ONE Gas unit enters into settlement agreement for $8.1M base rate increase

KansasGas Service took on the agreement with the staff of the Kansas CorporationCommission, the Citizens' Utility Ratepayer Board and its intervenors.

TheKansas Corporation Commission is assigned to rule on the settlement on orbefore Dec. 28, and if approved, would raise the average residential customer'snatural gas bill by $1.25 per month, according to a Form 8-K filed Oct. 6.

Inaddition to the settlement agreement, the company is also recovering $7.4million from customers through the gas system reliability surcharge, therelease said.
