Choice Hotels opens hotel in Norway's capital

Choice Hotels International Inc. announced the opening of an 810-room hotel in Oslo, Norway, called the Clarion Hotel The Hub.

The hotel is the largest in Choice Hotels' portfolio, and amenities include two bars and a rooftop restaurant. The hotel also has a 200-square-meter rooftop meadow.

Separately, Choice Hotels signed deals with Koucar Management to develop two new Cambria hotels. In Detroit, a 154-room hotel at 600 W. Lafayette Blvd. is slated to open in 2020, while in Portland, Maine, a 102-room hotel at 86 Newbury St. is expected to open in 2021.

The hotels are planned to have amenities including rooftop bars and fitness centers.
