Bengal Windsor Thermoplastics profit holds mostly steady YOY in fiscal Q1

Bengal Windsor Thermoplastics Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to 59 poisha per share, a decline from 62 poisha per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 54.4 million taka, compared with 54.5 million taka in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 22.0% from 22.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed year over year to 246.8 million taka from 243.4 million taka, and total operating expenses came to 157.1 million taka, compared with 158.1 million taka in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income declined 8.0% from the prior-year period to 78.5 million taka, or 86 poisha per share, from 85.3 million taka, or 97 poisha per share.

As of Nov. 28, US$1 was equivalent to 77.31 taka.
