Apple Inc. unveiled updated iPad Air and iPad mini tablets.
The new iPad Air features an ultra-thin 10.5-inch advanced Retina display with True Tone technology, A12 Bionic chip with Apple's Neural Engine and with Apple Pencil support, the company said March 18. The new 7.9-inch iPad mini is also powered by A12 Bionic chip and features advanced Retina display with True Tone technology and wide color support. The iPad mini also has Apple Pencil support.
The new iPads are available to order starting March 18 and will be in stores next week.
The new iPad mini and iPad Air come in silver, space gray and gold finishes in 64 GB and 256 GB versions. The new iPad mini starts at $399 for the Wi-Fi model and $529 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model, while the 10.5-inch iPad Air starts at $499 for the Wi-Fi model and $629 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
The Apple Pencil is available separately for $99. The Smart Keyboard for the 10.5-inch iPad Air costs $159.
