Arlington Capital-owned Molecular Products Group buys Henkel's Sodasorb unit

Molecular Products Group PLC purchased Henkel AG & Co. KGaA's Sodasorb business for an undisclosed sum.

The Sodasorb product line includes carbon dioxide absorbents used in the healthcare and safety industries.

Molecular Products is a portfolio company of middle-market private equity firm Arlington Capital Partners. It manufactures chemical technologies for the treatment of breathable gases at its two primary production facilities in Louisville, Colo., and Essex, U.K.

Reuters reported earlier that Henkel, which operates in adhesive technologies, beauty care, and laundry and home care industry segments, does not intend to reorganize its business.
