FDIC assigns 2 banks 'needs to improve' CRA ratings

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. gave New York-based Berkshire Bank and Los Angeles-based State Bank of India (California) "needs to improve" ratings for compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act.

Both banks received similar marks in past assessments. The list covers evaluation ratings that the FDIC assigned to institutions in September.
