Tesla chief accounting officer leaves company

Tesla Inc.'s chief accounting officer has left the company, in a series of management departures from the electric carmaker, Bloomberg News reported, citing a March 8 regulatory filing.

Eric Branderiz, who also served as corporate controller, left Tesla on March 7, citing personal reasons for his departure.

"Tesla appreciates Eric's service to the company," the carmaker said in the filing. A company spokesman declined to comment further.

Prior to Branderiz's departure, high-level management departures have included CFO Jason Wheeler; Jon McNeill, president of global sales and service; Diarmuid O'Connell, vice president of business development; and Kurt Kelty, director of battery technology.

Tesla has expressed its reliance on CEO Elon Musk as a risk factor in securities filings. Shareholders are set to vote in April on an equity award worth $2.6 billion to keep Musk in the company for the long term.
