Pattern Energy Group LP, or Pattern Development, and the Nigig Power Corp. have completed their jointly owned, 300-MW Henvey Inlet wind power facility, located on the Henvey Inlet First Nation Reserve No. 2 in Ontario.
Nigig Power is a subsidiary of Henvey Inlet First Nation.
The wind farm, which utilizes Vestas Wind Systems A/S turbines, has a 20-year power purchase agreement with the Independent Electricity System Operator. Electricity generated by the facility is delivered to the Ontario electricity grid through a 104-kilometer transmission line.
Pattern Energy Group Inc. recently announced the Henvey Inlet wind plant was among its Right of First Offer projects, with a commitment to pay C$242.4 million for a 50% interest in the project.
