First Citizens Bank shifts to quarterly dividend payout, declares payment

The board of First Citizens Bank Ltd. has agreed to change the frequency of the company's dividend payments to quarterly from semiannually.

The new scheme takes effect immediately, with quarterly dividends to be paid on the company's profits for the 2017-2018 financial period.

In conjunction, the company has also declared an interim dividend of 36 Trinidad and Tobago cents per share, based on the financial results for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2017.

Shareholders of record as of Feb. 16 will receive the payment Feb. 28.

As of Jan. 31, US$1 was equivalent to 6.77 Trinidad and Tobago dollars.
