PowerOptions, SunPower team up for solar-plus-storage program in New England

PowerOptions and SunPower Corp. are collaborating to provide solar power and battery storage solutions to nonprofit and government organizations in New England.

Selected by PowerOptions in a competitive procurement process, SunPower will construct and operate solar facilities, and sell the output under a 20-year power purchase agreement.

"We reviewed proposals from many of the biggest area solar providers, and SunPower demonstrated a commitment to partner with PowerOptions members, both large and small, to provide optimal solar solutions and the qualifications to complete these large projects, from design through construction to completion," PowerOptions President and CEO Cynthia Arcate said in a May 31 news release.
