TransAlta Renewables places 2 US wind projects into service

TransAlta Renewables Inc.'s 90-MW Big Level and 29-MW Antrim wind energy projects reached commercial operation in December 2019.

Approximately $126 million of tax equity proceeds were raised to partially fund the projects, TransAlta Renewables said in a Jan. 7 news release.

The Big Level wind farm in Pennsylvania will supply power to Microsoft Corp. under a 15-year power contract while the output of the Antrim wind farm in New Hampshire is split two 20-year power contracts with Partners HealthCare System Inc. and New Hampshire Electric Cooperative Inc.
