Nordex wins turbine supply order for 67.2-MW Spanish wind projects

Saudi Arabia-based Alfanar Energy selected Nordex SE to supply 22 turbines for two wind projects with a total combined capacity of 67.2 MW in Spain.

The German turbine manufacturer will supply and install 13 turbines at the Barrax wind project and nine turbines at the Chinchilla wind project, with delivery scheduled for the second half of 2020, according to an Aug. 8 release.

The orders also include 20-year full service agreements.

Alfanar Energy acquired the wind projects in May from German developer ABO Wind AG.
