Ryohin Keikaku fiscal Q3 profit climbs 24.5% YOY

Ryohin Keikaku Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 30, 2014, amounted to ¥199.59 per share, a gain of 24.3% from ¥160.52 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥5.31 billion, a gain of 24.5% from ¥4.27 billion in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 7.9% from 7.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 15.0% on an annual basis to ¥66.92 billion from ¥58.18 billion, and total operating expenses increased 17.4% on an annual basis to ¥60.72 billion from ¥51.71 billion.

Reported net income rose 24.3% from the prior-year period to ¥5.55 billion, or ¥208.50 per share, from ¥4.46 billion, or ¥167.87 per share.
