Kroger opens culinary innovation center

Food retailer Kroger Co. on Feb. 15 said it opened a 12,000-square-foot culinary innovation center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

According to its culinary development and new business vice president, Daniel Hammer, the facility serves as a research and development lab to accelerate the development of "Our Brands" products, explore new restaurant concepts, host food tastings and increase culinary knowledge for associates.
