Shinyei Kaisha said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥40.14 per share, an increase of 29.4% from ¥31.02 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥151.3 million, an increase of 29.4% from ¥116.9 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 1.3% from 1.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose year over year to ¥11.68 billion from ¥11.14 billion, and total operating expenses grew 5.1% on an annual basis to ¥11.50 billion from ¥10.94 billion.
Reported net income increased from the prior-year period to ¥171.0 million, or ¥45.38 per share, from ¥54.0 million, or ¥14.33 per share.
As of Feb. 5, US$1 was equivalent to ¥117.45.
