Innogy head of M&A to leave

Gerwig Koch will step down as head of mergers and acquisitions at innogy SE by the middle of 2020.

Koch's departure is at his own request, Essen, Germany-based innogy said in an Aug. 7 statement.

He had been "one of the key figures" for innogy in the planned asset exchange deal between its parent company RWE AG and E.ON SE, innogy added. The European Commission is set to make a decision on the transaction by September.
