Report: Amazon working on game streaming service Inc. is developing its own service that would stream gameplay over the internet, Games Industry reported Jan. 10, citing a report from The Information.

The game streaming service is not expected to roll out until 2020, but Amazon is already in talks with publishers about distributing their titles on its platform.

Tech giant Microsoft Corp. is also reportedly developing a streaming-only console for launch in 2020, while Alphabet Inc.'s Google LLC, also did a trial run of its streaming service in October 2018, the report said.

The e-commerce giant is not a stranger to gaming. It unveiled Amazon GameOn, a cross-platform, competitive gaming service for developers in March 2018 and has a service for deploying, operating and scaling session-based multiplayer games.
