Germany's Deutsche Bank AG promoted Anjali Mohanty to head its global subsidiary coverage in Asia-Pacific as part of a management reshuffle in India, The Economic Times reported Oct. 7, citing an internal note from the bank.
Mohanty is head of the bank's global transaction banking business in India. She replaces Kaushik Shaparia, who became chief country officer for the bank's India unit in May.
Following Mohanty's promotion, Sriram Krishnan, head of the bank's securities services, and Rajesh Thakur, head of cash management, will serve as co-heads for the global transaction banking business in India, according to the publication.
Meanwhile, Shyamal Malhotra will be in charge of all client coverage for Deutsche Bank in India. Rajesh Thakur will be responsible for banking multinational clients, as well as the bank's cash management business in India. Further, the bank promoted Anand Jha to head of trade finance in India, effective Oct. 3.
