German wind developer confirms Morgan Stanley takeover talks

German wind farm developer PNE AG confirmed it has received a potential takeover offer from Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners for all of the company's outstanding shares.

Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, or MSIP, as adviser of the North Haven Infrastructure Partners 3 fund, has offered to acquire the company at a price range of €3.50 to €3.80 per share. The companies are also discussing "possibilities of cooperations and investments."

PNE said in an Aug. 26 release that the outcome and timing of the negotiations with MSIP are not yet certain and that there is no guarantee that the takeover discussions will "lead to a result."

Recently, PNE has been putting in efforts to expand its wind farm business into new markets including Panama and Poland
