NXG Bank organizers file de novo application to open in Maryland

Organizers of NXG Bank filed an application with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. to open a bank to be headquartered in Columbia, Md., American Banker reported.

The organizers include Lori Bettinger, Robert Borghese, Christopher Infantino, Mark Keidel, J. William Knott, Lawrence Letow, Joshua Phillips and Stephen Romano, the news outlet reported, citing a public notice placed in the Baltimore Sun.

The publication reported that Knott, who was president and CEO of Baltimore-based CFG Community Bank, is expected to be the CEO of NXG.

Bettinger will become NXG's chairman. She is executive vice president of Alliance Partners and president of BancAlliance.
