MGM Resorts International said Oct. 11 that George Kliavkoff will become president of its entertainment and sports division, effective immediately.
Kliavkoff will oversee the operations of the casino resort operator's theaters, showrooms and arenas. He will be based in Las Vegas and report to MGM Resorts President Bill Hornbuckle.
Kliavkoff most recently served as CEO of augmented and virtual reality startup Jaunt Inc. and has previously worked for Hearst Entertainment & Syndication, NBC Universal Inc. and Major League Baseball Advanced Media.
MGM Resorts' former entertainment and sports president Richard Sturm will continue with the company as a consultant, providing business advice and overseeing relationships. MGM Resorts said it signed a three-year consulting agreement with Sturm's company, Las Vegas Live Entertainment and Sports.
