Musician Sting pays $66M for penthouse at Vornado's NYC building

A penthouse at Vornado Realty Trust's 220 Central Park South building in Manhattan, N.Y., sold for $65.7 million to British musician Sting, The Real Deal reported, citing property records.

Using his real name, Gordon Sumner, Sting went into contract for the 5,807-square-foot unit in June 2016, the publication added.

Vornado has recently disclosed that it sold 11 condominium units at the tower for net proceeds of about $265.3 million during the second quarter.
