CoreCivic board rejects director's resignation

CoreCivic Inc.'s board has rejected Robert Dennis' resignation following deliberations.

Dennis tendered his resignation in May after failing to receive a majority of the votes for his re-election at the company's 2019 annual meeting.

CoreCivic said Dennis has agreed to either reduce his other commitments by Feb. 10, 2020, or tender his resignation from CoreCivic's board and the committees he serves if he is unable to comply with the company's proxy advisory firm voting guidelines and institutional investor voting policies.
