Australian logistics developer Goodman Group plans to build a logistics facility on a Hong Kong site it secured earlier in May with a winning bid of HK$2.75 billion, the South China Morning Post reported.
The warehouse will feature automation and robotics capabilities, and is meant to capitalize on increasing e-commerce demand in Hong Kong, the report added.
The site located in the city's Tuen Mun area offers 340,870 square feet of space with a plot ratio of 2.5. The developer is planning to construct a four-story logistics complex that is expected to be valued at more then US$750 million upon its completion, according to the May 24 report.
Goodman's Hong Kong portfolio presently spans 15 million square feet of space, including the city's largest multi-story warehouse, the ATL Logistics Centre, which it owns in partnership with DP World of Dubai.
