Bentre Aquaproduct Q2 profit climbs 13.3% YOY

Bentre Aquaproduct Import & Export JSC said its second-quarter normalized net income came to 1,036.20 dong per share, a gain of 13.3% from 914.28 dong per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 11.92 billion dong, a gain of 13.3% from 10.52 billion dong in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 14.5% from 8.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 6.8% year over year to 114.38 billion dong from 122.71 billion dong, and total operating expenses fell 9.8% on an annual basis to 93.95 billion dong from 104.11 billion dong.

Reported net income fell 11.2% year over year to 16.68 billion dong, or 1,450.00 dong per share, from 18.77 billion dong, or 1,631.14 dong per share.

As of July 20, US$1 was equivalent to 21,823.50 dong.
