Helvetia names CEO Switzerland, adjusts management structure

Donald Desax, head of the occupational pensions Switzerland market area and member of the executive management team at the Helvetia Group, will retire during the first half of 2020.

Martin Jara will join Helvetia as the new CEO for Switzerland in the first half of 2020.

Desax's successor will be appointed in the next few months.

The management structure will also be adjusted. The operating Swiss units including private pensions, occupational pension plans, nonlife and distribution will be merged under a single Switzerland management team effective Jan. 5, 2020, and will no longer be represented in the executive management.
