Connect Group profit misses consensus by 26.2% in fiscal H1

Connect Group PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Feb. 28 was 7 Great British pence per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 9 pence per share.

EPS fell year over year from 7 pence.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was £14.9 million, compared with £14.9 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue grew year over year to £909.9 million from £898.7 million, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to £882.5 million from £872.3 million.

Reported net income fell 39.6% from the prior-year period to £10.2 million, or 5 pence per share, from £16.9 million, or 8 pence per share.
