Enel Américas SA said its normalized net income for the second quarter amounted to $168.2 million, a rise of 19.9% from $140.3 million in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin fell to 6.7% from 7.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 35.1% year over year to $2.56 billion from $1.89 billion, and total operating expenses increased 46.2% year over year to $1.99 billion from $1.36 billion.
Reported net income rose 109,477.5% from the prior-year period to $133.3 million, or 0 cents per share, from $121,640.
