Vornado boosts quarterly dividend

Vornado Realty Trust's board of trustees increased the quarterly dividend to 71 cents per share, up from a prior payout of 63 cents apiece.

The company's Washington, D.C., business, which will be spun off and merged with the JBG Cos. to create JBG SMITH during the second quarter, makes up 56 cents per share of both its 2017 and its 2016 annual dividends.

The company will pay the new quarterly dividend Feb. 15 to shareholders of record Jan. 30.
