Apple Inc. is preparing to unveil new "Pro" iPhone models with enhanced camera features at an event in September, Bloomberg News reported Aug. 22, citing sources familiar with the situation.
The tech giant will also reveal upgraded versions of the iPad Pro with an upgraded camera and faster chips; an entry-level iPad with a bigger screen; new versions of the Apple Watch; and a revamped MacBook Pro laptop, according to the report.
Apple is also working to introduce new AirPods with features such as water resistance and noise cancellation by next year. Apple plans to release a cheaper HomePod early next year, according to the report.
Apple also is in the final stages of approving flexible organic light-emitting diode, or OLED, screens from China's BOE Technology Group Co. Ltd. for iPhone units in 2020, the Nikkei Asian Review reported Aug. 21, citing sources.
The tech giant will reportedly decide by year-end on a potential partnership with BOE for OLED displays.
