Cedar City, Utah-based State Bank of Southern Utah added Mary Pearson and Brad Last to its board, Utah Channel 3 reported.
Pearson is chairwoman for the Cedar City Planning and Zoning Commission and the dean of the School of Business at Southern Utah University. Last is chair of Utah House of Representatives' executive appropriations committee.
Southern Utah Bancorp is the parent company of State Bank of Southern Utah.
South Bend, Ind.-based 1st Source Corp. elected John Affleck-Graves as an independent director to its board and the board of its unit, 1st Source Bank, for a term set to expire in April 2022.
Additionally, he will serve on the company's audit committee and the bank's loan and funds management committee.
Affleck-Graves is the former executive vice president and CFO of the University of Notre Dame.
Hedge fund Citadel hired three executives to join its team specializing in bonds and currencies, Financial Times reported.
The company appointed former Goldman Sachs Asset Management LP partner and head of macro rates Jonathan Bayliss as senior fund manager. Bayliss will join the London office later this year.
The firm hired Vishnu Kurella as senior fund manager in New York and Eric Rains as fund manager on Kurella's team.
Kurella will join the firm in September from Caxton Associates LP, while Rains comes from BlueMountain Capital Management LLC.
Citadel also hired Giuseppe Verra from Goldman Sachs and Matthias Traut, who has worked at Tudor and Brevan Howard, as economic strategists for its macro team.
Walker & Dunlop Inc. hired brokers Tony Cassie and Sam Thompson for its property sales platform.
Cassie will join as managing director while Thompson will take on the role of vice president.
Before joining, Cassie and Thompson were part of Marcus & Millichap Inc.'s senior housing group.
Focus Financial Partners Inc. unit TrinityPoint Wealth LLC hired W. Michael Smiley as managing partner.
Smiley will be based out of Charlotte, N.C.
