Guardian Assurance Ltd. terminated the director appointment of James Gallagher on June 11, according to a company filing.

Guardian is a U.K.-based life and pensions company that buys and administers closed books of business from other companies.


Acrisure LLC appointed William Malloy as president of the company's specialty division.

He will focus on leveraging the company's proprietary technology, distribution and intellectual resources to deliver products to agency partners and their respective clients.

Malloy was previously at Aquiline Capital Partners LLC, where he served in various roles throughout his tenure.


Farmers Group Inc. named Rob Howard chief claims officer, effective June 11.

He previously was head of the company's claims shared services.

Property and casualty

Chubb Ltd. appointed Steven Goldman executive vice president of financial lines for Overseas General Insurance, Chubb's international general insurance business, effective July 1.

Based in New York, Goldman will have responsibility for Chubb's international financial lines division including directors and officers liability, financial institutions, errors and omissions, transactional risk and cyberrisk businesses.

Goldman is currently executive vice president of Chubb's financial lines division in the U.S.


Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. unit Mercer appointed Tom Tomczyk principal and client manager for its Pittsburgh and Cleveland offices.

Previously, Tomczyk was vice president of business development at New Jersey-based technology-led business process services company Conduent Inc.


Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.'s National Insurance Specialty unit appointed Matt Waters chief underwriting officer and senior vice president.

He will lead the unit's areas that offer a wide range of primary and excess products to large and midsize construction and energy companies.

Previously, Waters was chief product and underwriting officer of Liberty Mutual's group disability and life operation.


Everest Re Group Ltd. appointed Eric Koppang as head of the excess and surplus lines casualty unit in Chicago.

He will be responsible for developing new products and product enhancements and helping lead the expansion of the excess and surplus lines primary casualty unit in the wholesale space.

Koppang was most recently at Chubb, where he led the Westchester excess and surplus lines casualty group as senior vice president.
