Alfavision Overseas (India) Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 came to 4 Indian paise per share, a decrease of 90.5% from 39 paise per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 125,000 rupees, a decrease of 90.0% from 1.2 million rupees in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 0.1% from 0.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose on an annual basis to 145.4 million rupees from 140.1 million rupees, and total operating expenses increased 5.2% year over year to 145.2 million rupees from 138.1 million rupees.
Reported net income declined 90.0% on an annual basis to 200,000 rupees, or 6 paise per share, from 2.0 million rupees, or 63 paise per share.
As of Oct. 15, US$1 was equivalent to 61.40 Indian rupees.
