Audi US sales up 5.5% YOY in August

Audi AG's total vehicle sales in the U.S. rose 5.5% year over year to 20,907 units, largely driven by its A4, Q5 and Q7 series.

Q5 sales for August rose 43% to 6,812 units, while A4 sales increased 22% to 3,768 units. Sales of the Q7 also grew 16% to 3,682 units.

On a year-to-date basis, total sales of the carmaker rose 4.6% year over year to 148,070 units compared to 141,606 units in August 2017.

Audi is a subsidiary of German automobile manufacturer Volkswagen AG.
