ENGIE acquiring French renewable developer LANGA

ENGIE SA is acquiring renewable energy developer LANGA Group, subject to certain conditions, in a deal that ENGIE said would further strengthen its position as a leading European wind and solar energy developer.

LANGA will have a total installed capacity of 215 MW by the end of 2018, out of which 165 MW is solar, through Langa Solar, and 39 MW is wind, according to a June 6 news release. LANGA has 1.3 GW of projects due for completion by 2022. In the most recent calls for tenders from the French Energy Regulation Commission, LANGA came in third, with Engie taking first place.

LANGA was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Brittany, France.
