* Merrillville, Ind.-based Centier Bank appointed Gregory Gordon senior vice president in its business banking division, according to a press release. He specializes in real estate investment properties and commercial lending.
In a separate release, the bank said it named Leonardo Amat senior vice president and market president of its Michiana market, including bank activities in La Porte, Elkhart, Marshall and St. Joseph counties in Indiana. Amat has more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry.
The bank is a unit of First Bancshares Inc.
* Matthew Johnson will start working as senior vice president and treasurer at Access National Bank on June 1.
He most recently served as executive vice president and CFO of WashingtonFirst Bankshares Inc. until its sale to Sandy Spring Bancorp Inc.

* Highlands Union Bank named Sally Stringer-Scott market executive for Southwest Virginia.
She has been with the bank for 28 years, and has held various positions such as director of electronic banking and director of marketing.

* Bob Kleehamer is set to retire from his post as regional senior vice president for business development at Jasper, Ind.-based German American Bank at the end of May, Indiana's News and Tribune reported.
The bank is a unit of German American Bancorp Inc.
