Amazon Prime Video adds Indian indie films

Amazon.com Inc. partnered with C International Sales, the global arm of Mumbai-based boutique studio Cinestaan Film Company, to add three Indian independent films to its Prime Video service.

Cinestaan announced Jan. 31 that "Dev Bhoomi," "A Death in the Gunj" and "The Hungry" will be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime Video India.

Amazon has continued to make content deals targeting its Indian subscribers since Prime Video became available in the country in December 2016.
