Tanzanian central bank extends administration over Bank M Tanzania

Tanzania's central bank extended its administration over troubled lender Bank M Tanzania PLC for another 60 days, effective Nov. 2.

The Bank of Tanzania placed Bank M Tanzania under administration in August, citing liquidity troubles and its inability to meet financial obligations.

The administration was initially scheduled to last for 90 days to give the central bank time to consider appropriate action.
