China Vanke names new president/CEO; KIP REIT CEO departs

S&P Global Market Intelligence presents a weekly rundown of recent significant management and board changes and personnel moves in the Asia-Pacific real estate industry. The moves are listed by sector and by announcement date in reverse chronological order. The Europe and North America Hires and Fires columns will be published Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.

Hong Kong

* Former Vanke Property (Overseas) Ltd. CFO and company secretary Peter Chi-Chung Luk returned to Hon Kwok Land Investment Co. Ltd. and took on the position of executive director, effective Feb. 1.

Meanwhile, Herman Man-Hei Fung is planning to retire April 1 as vice chairman and nonexecutive director of the company. He will also give up his duties as authorized representative and member of the remuneration committee, with Chairman James Sai-Wing and Luk to assume the respective positions.

Singapore

* Paul Tham Wei Hsing, CFO of Keppel Capital International Pte. Ltd., was appointed deputy CEO of Keppel REIT's manager, with effect from Feb. 1.

Alan Nisbet, an independent nonexecutive director of the company, was named a member of the audit and risk committee, effective on the same day, in place of Daniel Chan Choong Seng, who's resigning May 1 as an independent director.

* The manager of Keppel DC REIT named as deputy CEO Anthea Lee Meng Hoon, effective Feb. 1. Lee is serving as the manager's head of investment prior to her appointment.

China

* Zhu Jiusheng was named China Vanke Co. Ltd. president and CEO, starting Jan. 31, relieving Chairman Yu Liang of the two positions.

Australia

* Penny Winn was appointed an independent director at Goodman Group subsidiaries Goodman Ltd. and Goodman Funds Management Ltd., effective Feb. 1. Winn also became a member of the audit committee, and together with Stephen Johns, was named to the risk and compliance committee.

David Collins and Danny Peeters joined Goodman Logistics (HK) Ltd. as executive directors. Peeters succeeded Greg Goodman, who stepped down from the board of the Hong Kong subsidiary but will remain as an alternate to Goodman Group Chairman Ian Ferrer.

Malaysia

* KIP REIT said CEO Lim Han Gie retired from his post following the Jan. 31 expiry of his contract. CFO Chan Heng Wah took on the acting CEO post, effective the next day, while former Country Heights Holdings Bhd. CFO Chin Suan Yong began serving as acting CFO.
