The European Investment Bank provided €45 million in financing to an EDP Renováveis SA subsidiary to build three wind farms in Portugal with a combined capacity of 96 MW, according to a Dec. 12 company announcement.
Eólica da Linha SA, a subsidiary of EDP Renováveis, will build the 20.5-MW Maunça wind farm in Batalha/Leiria, the 28.8-MW Vigia wind farm in Tarouca and the 46.8-MW Penacova wind farm in Penacova.
Banco Português de Investimento is co-financing the project.
